Caveland Hostel – Santorini, Greece

In the late 18th century, the complex was used as a winery. “Caves” were dug into the porous pumice stone to create homes and storage areas. Today, the traditional Santorinian architecture is home to single shared dorms, private double rooms or group booking houses—perfect if you’re looking for an alternative place to stay.

Stay Inn – Lisbon, Portugal

Just a few minutes walk from the historic and tourist attractions in Lisbon’s Cameos Square, and just down the road from a host of bohemian nightlife, is the Stay Inn.

Everything you’d find in a hotel room, as well as two cosy lounges, makes this place amazing for couples or solo travellers looking to socialise.

Cocomama – Amsterdam, Holland

Amsterdam’s first boutique hostel has certainly set the benchmark for cheap accommodation in the area! Just a tram ride away from the city centre, you get all the buzz of the city with a little peace and quiet at night.

In true red-light district style, the building used to be a brothel—but don’t let that put you off! The space has now been lovingly turned into rooms for up to six people to share.

Plus Hostels – Berlin, Germany

The newest addition to the PLUS Hostel group is PLUS Berlin. Nestled between beauty spots and great places to eat (as well as a thriving scene), this beautifully decorated hostel has it all. For those of you who’d rather eat and get straight to bed, the hostel bar and restaurant will far surpass your expectations.

Oh, did we mention the awesome, huge pool/sauna?

Wake Up! –Sydney, Australia

If you’re new to the hostel scene then Wake up! is the hostel for you. The spacious shared rooms are competitively priced for its city location, and the staff are dedicated to making sure all of their guests have a great time.

With an onsite bar, comfy TV lounge, useful travel desk and daily activities; Wake Up! covers every aspect of a perfect stay.

Generator Barcelona – Barcelona, Spain

Eccentric luxury one a shoestring budget – this place is a castle for the cooky.

But generator’s substance even surpasses its style. Snuggled between the boutiques of Passeig de Gràcia, just a quick walk from the sea, the hostel’s location is perfect for a quick break. That being said, the facilities within Generator may make you not want to leave.
