This is the easternmost province of the Dominican Republic that faces both the Caribbean and Atlantic. Punta Cana is the fastest growing Spring Break destination, though still low-key. The Dominican Republic is relatively affordable, and larger resorts are opened up to make the most of the spring break season. With stretches of untouched beaches shaded by palm trees and crystal clear waters to cool off from the tropical climate, this up-and-coming destination is not to be missed.

Panama City, Florida

You can’t get any better than the beaches, climate and laid-back attitude of Florida. Panama City is said to be one of the top spring break destinations. With daytime beach parties and music festivals to keep you occupied during the day, and all-night star-studded events in the evening, this is one of the most exciting destinations. Most of the bars and clubs are 18 to party, and 21 to drink, so even if you’re underage you can still join the fun. Break up your partying with dolphin watching, jet skiing and parasailing for a trip you’ll never forget!

Nassau, Bahamas

The Bahamas is literally paradise. Palm trees litter the picturesque beaches and lagoons, and the capital city of Nassau is a hub of culture and excitement. But during Spring Break, young people from all over the world are beginning to flock to this island retreat for sun, sea and partying. Boasting incredible resorts and top-notch hotels and restaurants, this spring break hotspot is slightly more low-key. Open-air bars are commonplace, and the nightlife boasts a more personal atmosphere.

Sitting on the eastern shore of Lake Havasu, a reservoir on the Colorado River, is Lake Havasu City. Unique in that it does not offer ocean shores, this affordable destination still has incredible recreational activities in beautiful natural surroundings. When you’re not soaking up the buzzing nightlife, catch sight of the original London Bridge that was disassembled and transported to Arizona for $9.5 million or hop onto one of the legendary boat parties!

South Padre Island, Texas

A trendy spot for fun-loving folks, join thousands of American college students in their migration to escape the less favourable northern weather. It’s true what they say, everything is bigger in Texas, and that also goes for their spring break celebrations. With affordable accommodation, funky and fresh bars and hotels, and a variety of activities such as kiteboarding and deep-sea fishing, you’ll be hard pushed to be bored down in the deep south.
